Outpatient Detox
Outpatient Withdrawal Management
Our outpatient withdrawal management, also referred to as ambulatory detox, is a form of substance withdrawal treatment where patients receive medical care and support without staying overnight in a facility.
This outpatient approach allows individuals to safely manage withdrawal symptoms from drugs or alcohol while maintaining their daily routines, such as work or family responsibilities.
It typically includes medical monitoring, medication management, and counseling, ensuring the detox process is both safe and effective but with less disruption to the person’s life compared to inpatient detox.
This outpatient program is designed to assist individuals with detoxing from substances such as alcohol, opiates, benzodiazepines, kratom, and others.
Our ambulatory detox program offers our patients the opportunity to perform a detox with the intensity of a residential program adapted to the comfort of being able to go home every day.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
Comprehensive Medical Assessment:
- Each patient undergoes a comprehensive intake and assessment conducted by a medical provider, which culminates in the development of a personalized plan for withdrawal management tailored to their specific needs.
Daily Office Visits:
- Patients meet daily in our office until withdrawal symptoms and risks are effectively managed, ensuring a safe and steady recovery process.
Medication Management:
- Patients receive a 24-hour supply of medications, with daily reassessments to adjust treatment as needed, facilitating the detox process until complete.
Safe & Managed Detox
- Each patient will need to have a support person who will monitor and support them at home, making it a great option for someone who cannot go to an inpatient detox due to life circumstances.
Concurrent PHP/IOP Services:
- Withdrawal management is conducted alongside Partial Hospitalization (PHP) or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services, providing comprehensive care for co-occurring mental health or substance use disorders.
Integrated Care:
- The program comprises group therapy and individual therapy that addresses addiction, mental health, and trauma. It also provides family support, case management, peer support, and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). Members of the Alumni Program receive ongoing community support.

Why Choose Colorado Medication Assisted Recovery
At CMAR, we understand that long-lasting recovery demands much more than a prescription. Recovery is a challenging personal journey of incremental change, and medication is only one element of treatment.
We know that many people suffering from substance use disorder may also have co-occurring other mental health conditions, such as depression and anxiety. We look at the family, social supports, and prior history of trauma and develop individual treatment plans accordingly. We believe treating mental health alongside addiction is an indispensable part of our opioid addiction treatment programs and alcohol addiction treatment programs.
We help our patients identify the causes of anger, fear, sadness, and loneliness and provide tools to cope effectively so they don’t cause a relapse.
